Key Account Manager Medical

We are looking for a strong sales driver and an excellent relationship builder who can grow long-term partnerships in a complex international B2B medical environment.

    Your main responsibilities

  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships with international (key) accounts (OEM’s, system integrators)
  • Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts by up-selling and cross-selling and identify potential and acquire new customers globally
  • Develop and maintain account and global strategies in alignment with the business strategy and sales plan and translate these strategies into concrete project execution.
  • Lead and coordinate commercial negotiations within agreed margins, budgets, and commercial conditions.
  • Collaborate closely with regional sales teams and cross-functional colleagues working on the same accounts.

  • Gather and share market, competitor, pricing, and product insights to support growth and business development.
  • Provide input to Marketing & Communications to enhance online visibility and support lead generation.
  • Facilitate seamless interaction between the customer’s organization and your own, across all disciplines and levels.
  • Translate and strengthen the organization’s value proposition in line with customer needs.
  • Actively contribute to customer development projects where concepts evolve into released products and serial production processes. Take responsibility for securing new business nominations.

What will you do?

We are looking for a strong sales driver and an excellent relationship builder who understands both transactional and consultative sales processes, and who can cultivate long-term partnerships within a complex, international, technical B2B medical environment. This role requires a true team player who effectively leverages and guides the account team to build broad, multilevel customer relationships, activates internal stakeholders, and collaborates seamlessly with global and regional teams.

What do you need?

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in commercial, business administration, economics or engineering
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in the area of consultative and transactional selling and account management, preferably in medical equipment market
  • Team player, able to work in multidisciplinary projects teams
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbally in English. Dutch/Spanish, would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of and experience with value selling in an international B2B technical environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and highly resistant to change and stress
  • Willingness to travel
